Cliff is probably best known as a member of Blowzabella. He recorded the first four albums with them, and was highly influential in introducing French dance music to England.He is equally well known as a prolific composer. His tunes are still a staple element of Blowzabella's performances, have also been recorded by several other artistes, and are played in sessions all over the world. His best known tune is "Man in the Brown Hat"
Angles rekindles a partnership with Chris Walshaw which started in The Duellists (with Nigel Eaton). He also played with Andy Cutting and Chris Wood in The Waltzer. More recently, Cliff has been involved in Primæval (Breton based dance music) and two modern electro bands, Coil and Cyclobe who have gigged around the world. He is currently also playing with Andy Letcher (pipes), and sometimes performing solo experimental music as a support to the group, Spiro.
Cliff brings his fine tunes and extended hurdy -gurdy palate to Angles.
